The San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain next month will present Jennifer Lawrence, an Oscar-winning actor and producer, with a lifetime achievement award, the festival’s organizers announced Tuesday.
At the festival, where her most recent film, “Die, My Love,” will be screened, the 35-year-old will get a special “Donostia” prize.
When the award was announced, the festival referred to Lawrence as “one of the most influential actors of our time.”
On September 26, the day she accepts the award, the recently released film, which Lawrence also produced, will be screened.
Esther Garcia, a producer closely associated with numerous Pedro Almodovar and other leading Spanish films, will also get a lifetime achievement award from the Spanish festival, which takes place from September 19 to 27.
