Md. Shafiqur Rahman, the ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, met with Sujeev Shakya, the chair of the Nepal Economic Forum (NEF), the country’s top policy think tank, in Kathmandu today to discuss methods to increase bilateral trade and economic interactions.
According to a message received here from Kathmandu, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the current economic cooperation and strengthen the relationship between Bangladesh and Nepal during the meeting at the NEF office. Ambassador Rahman stressed Bangladesh’s commitment to enhancing regional cooperation and underlined the potential of increased private sector partnerships, particularly in trade, investment and connectivity.
The discussions reflected the growing interest of both countries to broaden their economic partnership in line with their shared development goals.
