In a gazette, the government acknowledged 1,558 additional injured July warriors for their service during the Mass Uprising in 2024.
Of these, 210 have been assigned to the ‘B’ category of badly injured fighters, with the remaining combatants falling into the ‘C’ category.
405 people are from Dhaka Division, 236 from Rajshahi, 166 from Khulna, 88 from Sylhet, 166 from Barisal, 111 from Mymensingh, and 226 from Chattogram Division, per the division-wise list under category ‘C’.
The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs published the gazette in two different notifications on July 23 and 24.
The notices were signed by Haridas Thakur, the ministry’s Deputy Secretary (Gazette).
