As renowned singer and music educator Tanjina Toma received the 71 Media Vision and Frontline Television Award 2025 for her innovative work in music, performing arts, and music therapy for kids with disabilities, Bangladesh’s cultural scene was illuminated.
Toma has been bridging the gap between music and healing for over 20 years, using her work to help children with special needs and their families psychologically. She has cultivated more than a thousand pupils via her Bibhash Cultural Academy, fusing music, art, and craft into a comprehensive performing arts curriculum that encourages inclusivity and innovation.
Leading figures from all around the country attended the award ceremony, which took place on July 25 at a city hotel. Justice Mir Hasmat Ali of the Supreme Court was the Chief Guest. The event honored accomplishments in ten different fields, such as journalism, entrepreneurship, health, education, and film.
Other award recipients included national icons Robi Chowdhury, Nipa Khandaker, and Dilara Zaman. Upon receiving the honour, Toma shared, “Music heals, empowers, and unites. This recognition encourages me to continue creating pathways where art can touch lives.”
