Under the automated fuel pricing formula, the government has maintained the rates of gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and octane at Taka 102 per liter, Taka 114 per liter, Taka 118 per liter, and Taka 122 per liter, respectively, for the month of August.
According to a directive issued today by the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources’ (MPEMR) Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD), petroleum prices have been maintained at levels comparable to those of July in order to guarantee the supply of such goods at fair rates.
A gazette on the August petroleum prices was also released by the EMRD.
On March 07, 2024, the government first unveiled the automatic fuel pricing algorithm.
