The Israeli army announced early Thursday that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen. This comes days after Israel conducted strikes on Huthi rebel targets in Yemen.
“Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted,” the army posted on social media platform X.
Israel has carried out multiple strikes on Yemen, including attacks this week on the port city of Hodeida. These actions follow the Huthis’ commencement of targeting Israel and ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, which began after the Gaza war started in October 2023, as they claim solidarity with Palestinians.
