To commemorate the anniversary of the historic July-August 2024 mass uprising, Bangladesh’s Local Government Division has launched a nationwide idea competition titled “July Revolution in My Eyes (Amar Chokey July Biplab).” This initiative aims to engage young people in reflecting on this pivotal moment in the country’s democratic journey.
Youth from all districts across Bangladesh are strongly encouraged to participate by submitting creative and socially impactful ideas that are inspired by the spirit of the 2024 uprising. The deadline for all submissions is July 10, 2025. Entries can be submitted either online or via email directly to the District Council Office of each participant’s respective district.
The competition is open to young individuals aged 15 to 30 years old. This includes members of various youth organizations such as youth clubs, debate societies, scout and rover groups, and cultural organizations. Additionally, students from secondary schools, higher secondary institutions, and universities are eligible to participate. Participants also have the option to enter the competition as part of a team.
