The Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the final results of the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, recommending the appointment of 1,690 candidates to various cadre positions.
According to a notification issued by the PSC tonight, the commission is provisionally nominating 1,690 candidates who were successfully selected from the original 1,710 vacant posts across different cadres for the 44th BCS examination of 2021.
The notification clarified that it was not possible to nominate candidates for 20 posts in the technical/professional cadre due to a lack of qualified applicants. It also stated that despite being successful in both the written and oral examinations, not all candidates could be nominated for cadre posts.
For those successful candidates who were not nominated for cadre positions, initiatives will be taken to recommend them to the government for appointment in non-cadre posts, subject to vacancy and adherence to government rules.
