Officials of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) have decided to withdraw their nationwide shutdown, citing the paramount interests of national trade, commerce, and the broader economy.
The decision was announced by Hasan Mohammad Tarek Rikabder, president of the NBR Reforms Oikko Parishad, at a press conference held this evening at the office of the Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) in Dhaka, following a crucial meeting with the country’s leading businessmen.
