Chief Adviser Yunus Holds Private Audience with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace

London, UK – Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today held a private, one-to-one meeting with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, where discussions reportedly focused on Bangladesh’s ongoing reform agendas. The meeting, which commenced at 11:20 AM BST, was described as a significant highlight of the Chief Adviser’s current tour.

“At 11:20 am today, a one-to-one meeting was held between our Chief Adviser and King Charles III, which was a private one,” stated Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam during a press briefing following the engagement.

Alam revealed that during the approximately 30-minute cordial discussion, the two leaders addressed the “massive transition in Bangladesh.” The Chief Adviser provided King Charles with an update on the reform initiatives being undertaken by his government in Bangladesh. The Press Secretary noted that due to King Charles’s long-standing acquaintance with Professor Yunus, a wide array of topics were covered. “In this whole tour, I would say it was the most important event,” Alam emphasized.

Following the private audience, Professor Yunus was presented with a signed photograph of the King and Queen, an gesture described as a great honor for the Chief Adviser.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles welcomed Chief Adviser Professor Yunus for a private audience. Such ‘Audiences’ are customary for the Monarch, who regularly meets with individuals recognized for extraordinary achievements in their fields, particularly those receiving royal appointments or named prizes.
