13 more Covid-19 cases reported in country

Bangladesh has reported 13 new COVID-19 cases from 101 samples tested in the last 24 hours, as of Wednesday morning. This brings the country’s total confirmed caseload to 2,051,760, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The DGHS also announced that two individuals have recovered from the virus during the same 24-hour period, elevating the total number of recoveries to 2,019,378. Notably, no COVID-19-related deaths were recorded in the past day, leaving the official death toll unchanged at 29,500.

Bangladesh first detected a case of the novel coronavirus on March 8, 2020. The country’s first COVID-19 fatality was reported ten days later, on March 18 of the same year.
