Actor Michael Keaton is set to join Robert De Niro in the upcoming crime thriller, The Whisper Man, produced by Netflix and AGBO. This highly anticipated film is an adaptation of Alex North’s novel of the same name. The story revolves around a widowed crime writer who enlists the help of his estranged father, a retired police detective, after his 8-year-old son is abducted.
Keaton, known for his exceptional range, is expected to make a cameo appearance in the film, much to the excitement of fans who have long awaited the opportunity to see him share the screen with De Niro. This marks their first on-screen collaboration since their roles in Jackie Brown.
The film’s ensemble cast also includes John Carroll Lynch, Hamish Linklater, Owen Teague, and Acston Luca Porto, alongside established stars such as Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan. James Ashcroft will direct the film, while Ben Jacoby and Chase Palmer have worked on adapting the script.
The Whisper Man will be the sixth collaboration between Netflix and AGBO, following successful films such as Mosul, Extraction, The Gray Man, and Extraction 2. AGBO is also currently working on the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars with Marvel.
Production is slated to begin this spring on the East Coast.
