The metro train service would not operate on Eid-ul-Fitr day, according to a statement released today by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL).
Today, the DMTCL announced the news on its official website.
On the other days of the Eid holiday, however, the metro services will continue to run.
The notification further stated that following Eid, the metro rail service will resume on its usual timetable.
Depending on the moon sighting, the nation is expected to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest Muslim religious holiday, on either March 31 or April 1.
