CA returns home wrapping up historic China trip

Professor Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser, concluded his four-day official tour of China tonight and went back home.

Around 8:10 p.m. (Bangladesh standard time), the Chief Adviser and his entourage touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka aboard an Air China commercial flight.

At 16:57 p.m. local time (Beijing time), the aircraft had previously taken off from Beijing Capital International Airport.

At the end of Chief Adviser Prof. Yunus’ historic four-day official visit to China, Hong Lei, China’s Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and President Xi Jinping’s Chief Protocol Officer, said him farewell at Beijing Capital International Airport.

On March 27, Prof Yunus spoke at Boao Forum for Asia annual conference and joined several sidelines events in Hainan.

On March 28, the Chief Adviser held bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

Along with other side events, he participated in three roundtable talks on various topics, including Youth Entrepreneurship in the World of Three Zeros, Bangladesh 2.0 Manufacturing and Market Opportunities, and Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Investment.

Peking University (PKU) awarded Prof. Yunus an honorary doctorate on March 29. On the occasion, he also gave a talk.

On March 26, he arrived in China.
