Yao Wen, the Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh, paid Foreign Secretary Jashim Uddin a visit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
According to a press release from the foreign ministry, both parties reiterated their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and talked about subjects of common concern.
Among other topics, they talked about healthcare collaboration, education, and skill development.
The Foreign Secretary emphasized on enhancing collaboration between technical and vocational institutes and greater scholarship opportunities for Bangladeshi students.
The Ambassador emphasized the efforts made to strengthen interpersonal relationships.
Regarding the Rohingya issue, the Foreign Secretary expressed gratitude for China’s ongoing involvement and expressed the hope that further help would be provided to enable a sustainable repatriation.
Regarding the future course of Bangladesh-China relations, both parties voiced hope.
