Biman flight makes emergency landing at India’s Nagpur

Due to a technical issue, a 395-passenger Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dhaka headed for Dubai had to make an emergency landing in Nagpur, India, today.

“At approximately 10:45 PM, while in mid-air, the captain received a technical signal, prompting an emergency landing at the nearest airport, Nagpur in India,” said a Biman press release here. 

It further stated that all travelers are receiving comprehensive assistance at Nagpur Airport in an orderly fashion.

At 8:53 a.m., the Boeing 777 flight BG-347, carrying 395 passengers, took off from Dhaka for Dubai.

In the meantime, Biman reported that another Biman Boeing 777 carrying the trapped passengers departed Dhaka at 10:45 AM for Nagpur and touched down at 12:39 PM.

“This aircraft will soon depart for Dubai with the waiting passengers from Nagpur,” said the release.
