BGB destroys illegal drugs worth Tk 74.32 crore 

At the training ground of Kusthia BGB 47 Battalion here, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) destroyed a variety of illegal substances valued at around Taka 74.32 crore today.

The BGB claims that from February 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025, its members confiscated illicit articles from several locations along the Kushtia and Meherpur borders.

Cocaine, heroin, marijuana, beer, alcohol, and phensedyl are among the narcotics that have been destroyed. According to the BGB spokesman, these substances were destroyed by fire and rollers.

Those in attendance were Mirpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Bibi Korimunnesa, 47 BGB Commander Lt Col. Mahbub Morshed Rahman, and Kushtia Sector Commander Colonel Md Maruful Abedin.
