UAE minister calls on Chief Adviser

The United Arab Emirates’ health minister, Abdul Rahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, paid Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus a visit today while attending the World Government Summit (WGS) in Dubai.

According to a message received here, the minister expressed gratitude to the Chief Adviser for attending the esteemed annual summit of top government leaders, stating that his presence had energized the assembly.

“We learn from people like you,” the UAE health minister said as they discussed various aspects of the WGS.

“The WGS is learning from the experiences of people, who have come from all over the world,” he said.

The minister also greeted the Chief Adviser for leading Bangladesh at a crucial moment in the country’s history.

He hoped that during the Interim Government’s term, Bangladesh and the UAE would strengthen their relationship and that in the days ahead, both countries would increase their trade, business, and health links.

Professor Yunus, the chief adviser, expressed his admiration for the UAE’s advancements in the field of health and the avoidance of serious illnesses.

He also expressed gratitude to the UAE for taking in more than a million Bangladeshis.

Foreign adviser Touhid Hossain, the chief adviser’s special envoy Lutfey Siddiqi, and senior secretary and main SDGs coordinator Lamiya Morshed also attended the meeting.
