Chief adviser orders immediate steps to mitigate Ctg waterlogging

Professor Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser, gave the relevant authorities instructions today to act quickly to address Chattogram’s waterlogging issue.

At a council of advisers meeting held here, he devised the directions.

Waterlogging is prevalent in Chattogram during the rainy season, according to Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, who was discussing the meeting’s results during a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy here.

According to him, the chief adviser has given the relevant authorities instructions to address the waterlogging issue as quickly as possible.

At today’s council of advisors meeting, the city’s traffic congestion problem was also thoroughly examined, according to Alam, and immediate measures to alleviate the traffic situation will be evident in the days ahead.

The press meeting was attended by Chief Adviser Mahfuj Alam and his deputy press secretaries, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder and Apurba Jahangir.
