German greenhouse gas emissions fall 3% in 2024: study

According to a report released Tuesday, gaps in green investment in families and industry caused Germany’s greenhouse gas emissions to decline in 2024, but more slowly than in prior years.

The Agora Energiewende energy think tank claims that last year’s emissions figure was a “marked slowdown” of 3%, whereas in 2023, the largest economy in Europe experienced a 10% decrease.
