The gross foreign exchange reserves of Bangladesh have surpassed US$26 billion.
The most recent data indicates that foreign exchange reserves total $26.09 billion.
But according to the IMF’s BPM-6 calculation standard, the reserve is more than $21.34 billion, Bangladesh Bank (BB) spokesperson Husne Ara Shikha stated in a statement released here today.
The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) BPM-6 indicator is used to calculate net reserves. Subtracting short-term liabilities from gross or total reserves gives the amount of net or actual reserves.
