Starting tomorrow, the Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) ministry will conduct its official business in the empty “Nagar Bhaban” rooms of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
This was revealed by LGRD and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan at a discussion with senior ministry officials at his official home on Hare Road in the city.
Bhuiyan, who also oversees the ministry of youth and sports, vehemently declared that his ministries’ official operations will not be hindered for even a single day.
His remarks followed a disastrous fire that erupted in Building No. 7 of the Bangladesh Secretariat, which houses the ministries of Youths and Sports, Cooperatives, and LGRD, two days prior.
The adviser said the interim government would not allow anybody to implement the conspiracies of destroying evidences of the last fascist government and hamper the ongoing people’s friendly projects.
He asked the officials concerned to take firm steps to infuse dynamism to the ministry’s activities than the previous period.
