Bangladesh receives over $2b remittance in 21 days

Over US$2 billion in remittances were sent by Bangladeshi expatriates in the first 21 days of December of the fiscal year 2024–2025.

According to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data issued today, private banks earned $1,311.62 million of this total, while state-owned and specialty banks received $690.45 million.

Worker remittance inflows from July to November of this fiscal year were $11.14 billion, which represents a roughly 26% increase over the same period in the prior fiscal year.
