Abdulla Ali Al Hmoudi, the UAE’s ambassador to Bangladesh, stated today that his nation is eager to establish a defence collaboration with Bangladesh and offer its knowledge in ports, logistics, and civil aviation.
Additionally, he reiterated his nation’s resolve to deepen commercial and economic relations with Bangladesh.
Al Hmoudi said this during a reception hosted by the UAE Embassy in Dhaka recently to celebrate the country’s 53rd Union Day, a press release issued by the UAE embassy said here today.
“We remain focused on direct investment to bolster economic and business cooperation,” the UAE Ambassador said.
The envoy also reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to working together with the interim government for a better and more prosperous Bangladesh.
It’s noted that the UAE and Bangladesh are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations this year, marking a significant milestone in their shared history.
“We are looking forward to a strategic partnership between our brotherly nations,” said the envoy. The Ambassador said that the 1.2 million Bangladeshi expats living in the United Arab Emirates are contributing significantly to the economy of both Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.
The main guest during the occasion was AF Hassan Ariff, a civil aviation and tourism adviser. The reception was attended by government advisers, ambassadors, chiefs of diplomatic missions, senior government officials, corporate executives, and members of the media and civil society.
