India’s capital shuts all primary schools due to smog

On Thursday night, New Delhi, the capital of India, issued an order for all primary schools to close till further notice because of the deteriorating air pollution in the expansive metropolis.

Chief minister Atishi, who uses a single name, declared on social networking site X that “all primary schools in Delhi will be shifting to online classes, until further directions,” due to the increasing levels of pollution.
