Touhid led Bangladesh at Extraordinary Arab & Islamic summit in Riyadh

The Bangladeshi delegation to the “Preparatory Meeting of Foreign Ministers for the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic” Summit in Riyadh was led by foreign adviser Md. Touhid Hossain.

According to a press release from the foreign ministry, senior officials and foreign ministers from every OIC member state attended the ministerial session.

The inaugural remarks were given by Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

The opening session also featured speeches by the secretary generals of the League of Arab States and the Organisation of Islamic States, the prime minister of Palestine’s foreign affairs and expatriates, and the minister of foreign affairs and expatriates of the Lebanese Republic.

The ministerial session presented a draft resolution to the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit today after reviewing the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine and Lebanon, its effects on the region, and the steps that need to be done in response.

Touhid also visited Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh and exchanged views with the Officials. Earlier, his 5 member delegation arrived in Riyadh on 9 November.
