Biman offers free flight for injured student’s treatment in Thailand

Biman A student who was seriously hurt during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has been awarded a complimentary trip by Bangladesh Airlines.

Biman said in a news release today that the ticket made it easier for him to go from Dhaka to Bangkok, Thailand, on the national flag carrier, for advanced medical care.

According to the statement, the student, Nabil Ahmed, was flown on a stretcher from Dhaka to Bangkok on Thursday aboard Biman’s BG-388 flight with special provisions for specialised medical care.

According to the announcement, he received special treatment at the airports in Bangkok and Dhaka because of his sickness.

Ahmed sustained serious injuries during the students-led protests, which escalated into a mass uprising. He had been receiving treatment at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka after being shot during the demonstrations.
