Four more PSC members take oath

Today, the four recently hired members of the PSC (Bangladesh Public Service Commission) were sworn in.

Md. Zahirul Islam Bhuiyan, ASM Golam Hafiz, Dr. M. Sohel Rahman, and Dr. Chowdhury Saima Ferdous are the four members.

Supreme Court Registrar General Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan handled the ceremony, while Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed administered the oath to the PSC members at the Supreme Court (SC) Judges’ Lounge.

Among those in attendance were representatives from the Supreme Court registrar’s office and the PSC.

Earlier on October 15, newly appointed Chairman of the PSC Prof Dr Mobasser Momen and four members Dr Nurul Kadir, Dr Mohammad Aminul Islam, Dr Mohammad Nazmul Amin and Md Sujayet Ullah took oath.

On October 9, the government named Dr. Mobasser Momen, a professor in Dhaka University’s Public Administration Department, the next PSC chairman.

On October 8, 2024, 11 members including former PSC chairman Md. Sohrab Hossain submitted their resignations.
