Award ceremony of Agricultural Olympiad held in city

Today’s Agricultural Olympiad-2024 award ceremony took place in the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro auditorium in the Banglamotor neighbourhood of the city.

According to a press release, the event, which was hosted by Agricultural Olympiad with assistance from the youth-led Agreen Foundation, highlighted accomplishments in agricultural innovation and education.
The major guest was Moinul Islam, the Joint Secretary of the NGO Bureau at the major Advisor’s Office.

Special attendees were Dr. Abid Chowdhury, Chairman of the Krishan Foundation and Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of Genofax Life Sciences, and Ashok Kumar Roy, Deputy Secretary of the ICT Division.

Twenty-five contestants from the junior, secondary, and upper secondary divisions were honoured at the ceremony.

With the theme “Shaping a Sustainable Bangladesh through Youth-Led Tech-Savvy Leadership,” the Olympiad put emphasis on food security and nutritional prosperity through modern agricultural practices.
 
It resonated with the participation of about 5,500 students from 20 schools and colleges in Dhaka during February to June this year.
 
Bangladesh Brand Forum served as the strategic partner and Ra’dia Inc. as the communications partner.
 
The BASEF Foundation joined as a co-partner, contributing to the event’s overall success and mission of fostering a technologically empowered and sustainable future for Bangladesh.
