Bangladesh will have a team led by Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin at the 16th BRICS Summit, which will take place in Kazan, Russia, on October 22–23.
A top ministry official told BSS this morning that the foreign secretary will leave for Russia tonight.
The foreign secretary of Bangladesh is anticipated to have one-on-one talks with invited leaders and equivalents from the BRICS nations during the Summit.
On October 25, Jashim Uddin is probably going to go back to Bangladesh.
Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates make up the international group known as BRICS.
With the subject of “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security,” this year’s summit will give leaders a forum to talk about important world issues and evaluate the advancement of BRICS projects.
It will also look into possible future areas of cooperation between the member states of the bloc.
