Belarusian Ambassador Meets with Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Adviser

Today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka, Honourable Adviser for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Md. Touhid Hossain, received a maiden courtesy call from H.E. Mikhail Kasko, the recently appointed non-resident Ambassador of Belarus to Bangladesh.

Initially, Ambassador Mikhail Kasko welcomed all parties and communicated the honourable foreign minister of Belarus’s greetings. He also reaffirmed his commitment to working towards the further development of bilateral relations between Belarus and Bangladesh. The Honourable Advisor for Foreign Affairs greeted the recently appointed Ambassador and conveyed happiness with the bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Bangladesh as it is at the moment.

Under the auspices of the Bangladesh-Belarus Joint Commission on commerce and Economic Cooperation, the talks during the courtesy call on the other hand were centred on enhancing bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Belarus, specifically in the areas of commerce, food security, and fertiliser supply.

Earlier today, the Honourable President of Bangladesh received the credentials of the recently appointed non-resident Ambassador of Belarus to Bangladesh.
