JIDALAI Co. Ltd., a Chinese company, plans to invest US$ 5.85 million to establish a zipper pull manufacturing sector in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (AEPZ).
According to a press statement, this Chinese enterprise will create 70 million zip pulls a year, providing work opportunities for 189 Bangladeshi nationals.
It should be noted that JIDALAI Co. is a key business partner of the globally recognised zipper brand “YKK.”
At the BEPZA Complex in the city, BEPZA and JIDALAI Co. Ltd. signed an agreement to this effect today.
On behalf of their respective organisations, Managing Director of JIDALAI Co. Ltd. Hsu, Hsueh-Min and Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md. Ashraful Kabir signed the agreement.
The Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, BSP, ndc, psc witnessed the signing ceremony.
The executive chairman of BEPZA commended JIDALAI Co. for selecting BEPZA as the location of their investment.
He claimed that BEPZA is among Bangladesh’s most prosperous organisations in terms of drawing in capital after 44 years of offering investors services.
He promised to offer the JIDALAI Co. all kind of assistance they needed to manage their company efficiently.
The signing ceremony was attended by YKK Bangladesh Pte Ltd.’s managing director, Jin Deguchi, as well as representatives from the enterprise, including member of engineering Mohammad Faruque Alam, member of finance A N M Foyzul Haque, executive director (administration) A.S.M. Zamshed Khondaker, executive director (investment promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain, executive director (enterprise services) Md. Khorshid Alam, and executive director (public relations) A.S.M. Anwar Parvez.
