At the foreign ministry here today, Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin met with Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Syed Ahmed Maroof.
According to a news release from the foreign ministry, the High Commissioner congratulated the Foreign Secretary on taking on his new duties.
The Chief Adviser of Bangladesh received a congratulations message from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, which the Foreign Secretary thanked for.
He also spoke about the Interim Government’s goals and the history of the most recent large-scale rebellion.
The subject of holding the subsequent round of Foreign Secretary Level Consultations was deliberated by both parties.
They also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in sectors like trade, commerce, improving people-to-people ties, and the Rohingya crisis.
Both parties emphasized the value of regional organizations and talked about utilizing SAARC’s potential in this regard.
