Today was the first time that Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, had visited the army headquarters here.
According to an ISPR press statement, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman greeted the Chief Adviser upon his arrival.
The Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant on Defense and National Solidarity, Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Hafiz, Foreign Affairs Advisor Md Touhid Hossain, Home Affairs Advisor Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain, Chiefs of the Navy and Air Force, PSO AFD, senior military and civilian officers, Inspector General of Police, Director Generals of Intelligence Agencies, BGB, Coast Guard, Ansar and VDP, RAB, and senior officials of army headquarters were in attendance.
The Chief Adviser was informed on significant national security matters at that time. Valuable recommendations offered by the Chief Adviser during his visit will be very beneficial in playing an effective role in every part of development and implementation of the future action plan collectively, the announcement added.
