The planned Saturday memorial ceremony honoring the martyrs of the recent student-people mass uprising has been rescheduled, according to Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Nahid Islam.
At today’s press briefing at the Secretariat, he informed reporters that a new date would be revealed tomorrow.
He added that a record of 728 martyrs and 20,263 injured during the march had been verified by the health ministry.
The administration had announced earlier on Tuesday that September 14 would be the memorial’s date.
Attendance at the memorial was anticipated from both students involved in the movement and the families of the martyrs.
