Palestinian medics report 5 killed as Israel raids West Bank’s Tubas

On Thursday, Palestinian medics reported that five individuals were slain in a strike that targeted a vehicle in the occupied West Bank area of Tubas. The Israeli military claimed that it conducted raids.

In a statement, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that a car was struck in Tubas, resulting in five fatalities and one severely injured individual.
According to the Israeli military, its aircraft “conducted three targeted strikes on armed terrorists” in the Tubas region.

Eyewitnesses informed AFP that a significant number of Israeli troops entered the Faraa refugee camp in Tubas governorate, and explosions were audible.

On August 28, Israel initiated a significant offensive in the northern West Bank intended to combat Palestinian militants, resulting in extensive devastation.

According to the health ministry of the Palestinian territory, Israel has killed over 30 Palestinians in the assault, including minors and militants.

The majority of Palestinian fatalities have occurred in Jenin, where one Israeli soldier was slain.

The West Bank has been under Israeli occupation since 1967, and the military has intensified its deadly incursions in the region since the outbreak of the war in Gaza against Hamas militants on October 7.
