Kuwait keen to recruit skills manpower from Bangladesh

In an attempt to strengthen the already strong bilateral relationship, Kuwait is eager to increase the hiring of qualified professionals from Bangladesh, especially engineers, doctors, and nurses.

This was made public today when Foreign Advisor Md. Touhid Hossain was visited at the Foreign Ministry by the departing Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bangladesh, Faisal Mutlaq Al Adwani.

The foreign adviser brought up Bangladesh’s recent political shift during the discussion and expressed hope that the country would successfully handle its current difficulties with Kuwait’s unwavering support.

The departing Kuwaiti envoy responded by expressing his nation’s willingness in using the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to finance cooperative development projects in Bangladesh.

The Foreign Adviser hoped that soon building would begin on the Kuwait Chancery and the Ambassador’s residence, noting the Ambassador’s important efforts, especially in allowing the reciprocal exchange of diplomatic plots.

In addition, Hossain praised the long-standing brotherhood and solidarity that exist between Bangladesh and Kuwait, emphasizing Kuwait’s crucial role in enabling Bangladesh’s inclusion into the larger Muslim community in 1974.

The ambassador reiterated Kuwait’s continuous support for Bangladesh’s development and highlighted the crucial role the Bangladesh Armed Forces played during Kuwait’s liberation in 1991.

Upon his return to Kuwait, the Foreign Adviser invited the departing Ambassador to represent Bangladesh as a goodwill ambassador.
