According to the Ukrainian military, its forces had taken 100 towns in Kursk as well as 600 Russian servicemen. In the meantime, Kyiv claims to have successfully tested a ballistic missile produced domestically.
Russian missile and drone strikes on a number of Ukrainian regions killed at least six people, officials said.
Regional authorities reported that a hotel in the central city of Kryvyi Rih was “wiped out” by a missile, killing three people.
Following the strike, Serhiy Lysak, the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, which includes Kryvyi Rih, stated on Telegram that five people were injured and one person was still missing.
In a different incident, three persons lost their lives as a result of drone strikes in Zaporizhzhia, a city in southeast Ukraine.
Three people were also injured in the Zaporizhzhia region, and four were injured in a rocket attack in the northeastern Kharkiv region overnight, local officials said.
On Tuesday, a day after Moscow’s biggest air attack of the war on its neighbor, Ukraine shot down five of 10 incoming missiles and 60 of 81 drones, the air force said.
