Shakib fined for a misdemeanor in first Test against Pakistan

Famous all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh was fined 10% of his match money for his inappropriate behavior during the first cricket Test match between Pakistan and India at Rawalpindi.

Shakib’s three significant wickets on Day 5 of the match were essential in the team’s first-ever Test victory over Pakistan.

The event happened on Sunday in the 33rd over of Pakistan’s second innings. Shakib tossed the ball inappropriately towards the batter, and it went over Mohammad Rizwan’s head and into the wicketkeeper’s hands.

Shakib admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match Referee Madugalle, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Richard Kettleborough and Adrian Holdstock, third umpire Michael Gough and fourth umpire Rashid Riaz levelled the charges.

In addition to this, one demerit point has been added to the disciplinary record of Shakib, for whom it was the first offence in a 24-month period.
