Air chief leaves for UK on official visit

Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, the chief of air staff of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), departed today for an official visit to the UK, which will take place from July 16–23.

According to a statement from ISPR today, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, Chief of Air Staff of the Royal Air Force, invited the Air Chief to visit the UK.

He will be in London for the Royal Air Force’s ‘Global Air & Space Chiefs’ Conference-2024,’ which is being held during his visit.

According to the statement, high-ranking military and civilian officials from several nations, including air commanders, will attend the meeting.

Participants will share their personal perspectives on operational methods, training, military technologies, and future plans during the program.

The Air Chief will also be present at RAF Fairford for the renowned air display known as the “Royal International Air Tattoo-2024.”

He will also be present at the ‘Farnborough International Air Show’ opening ceremony in Farnborough, London.

The Air Chief will have two entourages and his spouse with him during the visit.

In addition, Hasan Mahmood Khan is scheduled to attend the Centennial Reception of the Royal Canadian Air Force at the Canadian High Commission in London.

It is anticipated that the Chief of Air Staff’s visit will be extremely important in expanding the scope of professional sector mutual collaboration between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom as well as boosting the two countries’ bilateral relationship.

On July 24, the Air Chief will conclude his visit by returning home.
