The Sun, a prominent UK newspaper, declared on Wednesday that it was “time for Labour,” endorsing the main opposition party to win the next election and characterizing the ruling Conservatives as “exhausted” and split after 14 years in power.
The important daily, which is a part of Rupert Murdoch’s worldwide News Corp company and last supported Labour during Tony Blair’s term as prime minister beginning in 1997, has long been courted by political leaders of all hues.
