Remittance hits 47-month high

Bangladeshis living abroad sent about US$2.542. June saw billions of remittances, the most in the previous 47 months.

Data from Bangladesh Bank (BB) show that during the just ended fiscal year 2023–24 (FY24), Bangladesh received US$23.92 billion in inward remittances, of which US$2.542 billion arrived in June.

In addition, FY24 saw the largest remittance influx into the nation in the previous three years.
