Early on Friday, in the midst of intense rain, a section of the roof of Delhi airport’s Terminal 1 collapsed on cars, including taxis. This resulted in one fatality and six injuries, according to officials. Flight departures were also suspended.
Hospitalization of the injured was announced by K Rammohan Naidu, Minister of Civil Aviation, who stated he was keeping an eye on the situation.
Three fire tenders were dispatched to Terminal-1 (T1) of the airport as soon as a call regarding the incident was received at approximately 5:30 am, according to officials from Delhi Fire Services (DFS).
