ICAB organizes training for journalists

Today at CA Bhaban in the city, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) hosted a course on “Finance for Non-Finance Professionals: Business Journalists” that was part of the Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF).

Speaking at the event were ICAB president Mohammed Forkan Uddin, vice president MBM Lutful Hadee, council member and past president Md. Humayun Kabir, CEO Shubhashish Bose, and president of the ERF, Mohammad Refayet Ullah Mridha. Also in attendance were senior deputy director Momena Hossain Rupa and chief operating officer Mahbub Ahmed Siddique.

According to a press release, former Bangladeshi comptroller and auditor general Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury also spoke at the event as a guest.

As the resource person, Wasequl Huq Reagan, partner at Mahfel Huq & Co. Chartered Accountants, led the instruction.

This seminar was arranged by ICAB to aid journalists in their understanding of business and financial issues. Together, ICAB and ERF will look for opportunities to strengthen the nation’s economy.
