PM Sheikh Hasina for expansion of ‘BADC Ready-To-Cook Fish’ market

To make cooking easier for people, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina emphasized the necessity for the “BADC Ready-To-Cook Fish” business to be expanded further, reports BSS.

“The “BADC Ready-To- Cook Fish” programnme would immensely help working women…market expansion of such type of fish is required for easing their cooking process,” she said.

The Prime Minister made the remarks while receiving “BADC Ready- To- Cook Fish” equipments and a “milking machine” from Fisheries and Livestock Minister Abdur Rahman at a function at Ganobhaban here this morning.

After accepting the equipment, she expressed her gratitude to Bangladesh Fisheries Development Corporation and Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation for launching the citywide “Ready-To-Cook Fish” marketing campaign.

The Fisheries and Livestock ministry sources state that six freezing vans of BADC are selling a total of forty kinds of fish as “Ready-To-Cook Fish” at “Matshya (Fish) Bitan of BADC in the city’s Kawranbazar and Jatrabari fish landing station and 16 other spots in the city.”

In addition to these, e-commerce platforms in the city are used to sell “Ready to Cook Fish”.

Fisheries and Livestock Secretary Selim Uddin and senior officials of the ministry were present on the occasion, among others.
