Govt to recruit 10,000 primary school teachers in 4 months

To raise the standard of primary education, the government plans to hire 10,000 new teachers for government primary schools in the next four months.

At a workshop hosted by the Mymensingh Divisional Primary Education office in Mymensingh, Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmed made this statement.

According to the secretary, primary school teachers hold the key to the future of this country. Everyone ought to work for its advancement in order for the nation to become knowledge-based.

He also said: “We have planned for an expenditure of around Tk13,000 crore within 16 months for ensuring better primary education.”

He continued, saying that in order to create a Smart Bangladesh by 2041, the government will need to invest more in the primary education sector.

The event was addressed by DG Farid Ahmed of the National Primary Education Academy, Md. Abdur Rashid Mia of LGED Additional Chief Engineer, and Mohammad Maksud Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner of Mymensingh Dider-E-Alam. Umme Salma Tanzia, the divisional commissioner for Mymensingh, presided over the event.
