Bangladesh and Turkey, according to State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Arafat, will collaborate globally to thwart misinformation and deception.
According to a news release issued here today, Arafat made these remarks following a bilateral discussion with Professor Fahrettin Altun, the president of the Turkish Directorate of Communications. Arafat is now in Istanbul for a special session of the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers of the OIC.
According to the release, the state minister and a Turkish official discussed the challenge of disseminating incorrect and misleading information that suggests the entire world is affected.
The state minister described the fight against misinformation and deception as a global concern and stated that Bangladesh and Turkey may collaborate to address the problem.
Arafat claimed that the persistent dissemination of false information in Gaza, Palestine, is going unnoticed by the outside world. He emphasized the need for teamwork in order to counteract this kind of misinformation.Professor Fahrettin Altun, the president of Turkey’s Directorate of Communication, gave Arafat the assurance that Bangladesh will have all of our assistance in fighting false and misleading information.
