Russia’s economy grew by 2.7% in 2023

Russia’s economy has grown by 2.7% in 2023, and is projected to increase by 1.3% in 2024, Shantanu Mukherjee, Director of the Economic Analysis and Policy Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), said during a briefing.

“We estimated that <…> in 2023 the Russian economy grew by 2.7% <…> and we expect this growth to moderate to 1.3% in 2024,” he said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the national GDP went up by 3.5% by the end of 2023, which shows stability of its economy, reports BSS.
