Israel, US not behind Iran blasts: US State Dept

On Wednesday, the US denied claims that it or its ally Israel was responsible for the horrific explosions in Iran at the tomb of Revolutionary Guards leader Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in an American strike four years prior.

“The United States was not involved in any way, and any suggestion to the contrary is ridiculous,” State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters.

“We have no reason to believe that Israel was involved in this explosion,” he said.
