The agreement on a four-day humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and the hardline Palestinian movement Hamas is welcomed by Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said TASS.
“Moscow welcomes the four-day ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, something Russia has called for since the conflict escalated,” she said, especially lauded Qatar’s efforts to put into practice the global call for de-escalation.
Israel and Hamas reached a four-day ceasefire earlier, as the Qatari Foreign Ministry verified. According to Qatar’s foreign office, the date of implementation will be disclosed in the next 24 hours.
